KAREN WHITE: ONE YEAR OF GROWTH AND CONNECTION AT LAYDEX

Laydex is turning 30, and it’s not just about looking back—it’s about celebrating the entire team, both long-time and new members! One of those new faces is Karen White, our Customer Service Executive, who is about to mark her first year with us. Karen has quickly become a key part of the team, bringing her experience and energy to help Laydex grow stronger every day.

1. What made you want to join Laydex?

“I’d worked in both construction supply and wholesale before, so Laydex really caught my eye because it combines the best of both. Now I’m back in construction, but supplying stores feels familiar from my wholesale days. It just felt like the right fit. Plus, I even got to catch up with some old customers I hadn’t talked to in over 15 years!”

2. What was your first impression when you started at Laydex?

“There’s a large volume of orders, and I was initially curious about how everyone kept up. What really stood out, however, was the level of organization. Here, I’m able to focus on my own orders and ensure they’re done correctly, without feeling rushed.”

3. What excites you most about being part of Laydex’s future?

“With the 30th anniversary coming up and all the growth happening, I’m really excited to be part of that and see what’s next for Laydex.”

4. What’s something you’ve learned since joining Laydex?

“What I’ve realized is that no matter how long you’ve been in a role, your skills can always be transferred to something new. I thought there’d be a big adjustment period, but the system here is fantastic. I don’t have to juggle everything at once, I just focus on organizing my orders, and that makes a huge difference. Plus, I’ve got an amazing team both in the office and out on the road, so I can really rely on them.”
