Project Overview

This commercial flooring project covered the full Direct Provision Centre in Clondalkin. Utilizing aesthetic appeal, as well as safety, our IVC Isafe70 commercial vinyl flooring conforms to the highest standard of European Safety Norms. Isafe 70 enhanced particles limit the risk of falling in various settings. An edgy and modern flooring adding spark to any space. The range includes various vivid colour combinations, traditional and modern woods and stunning concrete designs. Underneath the IVC Flooring, we used a Damtec Acoustic Underlay 3mm to soundproof the floor effectively. This underlay can be used under parquet, laminate, or carpeting as well as under linoleum and PVC flooring.

Impact sound improvement (ISO 140‐8/ISO 717‐2):
ΔLw = 29dB with carpet
ΔLw = 20dB under 8 mm laminate flooring
ΔLw = 19dB under 13 mm parquetry
ΔLw = 18dB under 16 mm solid parquetry
ΔLw = 18dB under 9mm tiles

An internal play area was also a big challenge for this project. For this, Virgo proved to be the ideal flooring as its light touch makes it feel like real grass, imitating a garden play area.
