Colm Quinn BMW Drogheda – Memtech R1 Reinforced Radon Barrier Installation

Project Overview

This commercial building project required the development of a new premises for Colm Quinn BMW at the M1 Retail Park in Drogheda, Co. Louth. This project features our Memtech R1 Reinforced Radon Barrier.

One of the main issues faced with this project included the potential ingress of gas and water which can pose numerous structural issues as well as health and safety hazards.

In order to combat these issues, Memtech R1 Reinforced Radon Barrier was installed. Memtech R1 provides an effective barrier to the passage of liquid water and water vapour from the ground, as well as resistance to underground gases – radon, methane and carbon dioxide.

The Memtech R1 reinforced radon barrier has a high resistance to puncture due to the addition of a polypropylene reinforcing grid within the membrane. This reinforced radon barrier offers long term durability & exceptional gas and water resistance, hence the reason it was chosen in this instance!
